The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is investigating after suspicious packages believed to have contained white powder were delivered to international consulates and embassies across Melbourne and Canberra.

At least 13 consulates in Melbourne have been affected, along with a number of unnamed embassies and consulates in the ACT, the AFP has confirmed.

 

Indian Consulate and US Consulate on St Kilda Road.

The United Kingdom Consulate, located on Collins Street, along with the Korean Consulate (St Kilda Road), German Consulate (Queen Street), Italian Consulate (St Kilda Road), Swiss Consulate (Ashwood), Pakistan Consulate (Cardigan Place), Greek Consulate (Albert Road) and the Indonesian Consulate (Queens Road) are among locations believed to have been affected.

At least seven of the affected Melbourne consulates have been evacuated.
