what would happen if canada joined the US and became states of the US. Canada rejected the US's offer in 1781 and decided to stay with the british monarchy.

 

the only rule was that canada would end its relationship with great britain, but the british colonist didn't want to break the relationship with their monarchy.

Canada has huge resources and land which is untapped because the country has no resources or the people to develop the land, the country has a large border with a small military and navy. the us and canada are already practically unified, in the future it may become like the EU with no borders or actually become states.

Canada was offered multiple times to be states of the United States, The only stipulation was to remove all ties to the british royalty. canada has refused every time.

 

If the United States and Canada Unite into a single country it would become the largest economy on earth. and all of canada's resources could be tapped, Canada also lacks the ability to protect its borders fully.
