Yes, but most normies don't even know what the PATRIOT ACT is. Privacy isn't something that is noticeably taken away. Therefore, it's hard to know when 4th amendment rights are being violated. But almost everyone owns a gun, especially in red states. Confiscating guns would be out in the open, personal, and very noticeable. Nobody would stand for it.
