Also to add to this with Truth belongs to the People:
No longer will there be "trusted sources." I understand the need now because of mockingbird, but after that...
ALL information is released publicly to all. News media and the people get alerts when new information comes out.
No more will media companies be able to shut down another organization down to the side of an individual with a blog. They might be able to outspend and get bigger reach, but access should be no different for each. Government agencies should respect any individual that wants to know just as equally as it does a named media organization.
No longer will we accept a free press that is allowed to lie. Libel laws have to be adjusted where they still protect from random lawsuits to silence, but allow a standard to be upheld for the press. If the people are to trust them, they need to be held accountable for truthfully lying.
The press must fix its retraction system. This is also something twitter NEEDS to do. The original tweet is often left up and shared, and the retraction is posted but not connected to the original tweet so once the damage is done by the lie, a retraction doesn't change it. The retraction needs to be more prominent. Any regulation/law change regarding the press must address this.
No longer will trust in the government and its institutions be expected or assumed. Trust is earned not given. If the government fails to earn or keep it, it should expect to be held accountable. Fines/criminal penalties should be doubled for those holding office to give faith to those electing them.
Patriots made America great. Patriots will make America great again. Patriots will keep America great.
