There was previously 13 days of darkness from 12/23/2018 through 01/04/2019. Q has not posted since 01/07.

Q88 is a very early mention of 10 days of darkness. Q282 explains that the 10 days darkness will take place during a shutdown.

Q says that everything has meaning. Q88 was posted on 11/05/2017. When you add 64 days (8x8) to 11/05 the date reached is 01/08. Q has not posted since 01/07/2019, so I believe that the 10 days darkness began yesterday 01/08/2019.
