Precursor to 9/11? Thermite demo?

Seattle Police Department searched for an Arsonist who set 20 + warehouse fires in the early 90's in Seattle and the Vancouver area of Canada. Several fires burned down structures with little or no flammable contents in minutes. It looked as if the accelerant was sprayed on structural points as if professionally demolished. Over time these fires were explained away as no suspects could be found. There were also a few other similar unexplained fires scattered across the country with suspicious insurance claims at that time.

At least twenty fires in both the United States and Canada were started by the same individual, who came to be known as the "King of Arsonists". The fires set by this arsonist were especially dangerous because the oxygen in their water only made the fire burn faster and hotter. One factor that made the arsonist difficult to track was that he used a fuel of unknown origin(at that time); an accelerant that left behind no residue, called a "high temperature accelerant" or HTA. It generated temperatures between 5000 and 7000 degrees; three times hotter than a normal fire.

The fuel used in HTA fires, left no trace and left sleuths with no way to prove arson. Investigators believed the flammable material was similar to rocket fuel, much like the substance packed inside booster rockets on space shuttles.
