In the .pdf M-261 attached is a document named “Hearings Booklet 1961” in which they discuss the 1947 Stanford accelerator and the plans for a national facility.

One of the builders of the original Accelerators was John Carl Warnecke who had a personal relationship with John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy.

The attached video gives the rundown of Warnecke and the Accelerator - very well done.
