Concretefag

Yes and no.

There are large abrasive blades better for metal and much cheaper. Metal heats the diamond blades up very quickly and is less than ideal for anything other than rebar or thinner gauge rolled sheet metal and can get dangerous in a hurry. Without water the saw itself will quickly choke out from the concrete or sand that the steel is cored with. Not sure, but looks like either glass fiber or kevlar reinforced and possibly rebar.

A 16" saw has an effective cutting depth of about 6-3/4".

Couple this with the USMC Sensor Platoons noted lb and you've got yourself some time.
