This looks like it was cut from both sides.

The most common tool for this would be something like pic related and there's no way it would fit through the gap.

It also doesn't have a deep enough cut to cut through in one pass.

Ten inch deep cut.

If this is 8x8 steel, the depth required would be over 11 inches.

It would also take an hour or so to make four cuts like this tthese saws are heavy and wear you out quick.

Not impossible but unlikely
