meh, I can think of about a 100 logical reasons for that photo. The most logical ansswer is it's been photod' on earth and then they used compositing to take a pic from the ISS to comp the pic of it itself to it - very simple and easy. It also stands to reason why they'd do that as it helps understand what is taking pics. In other words the pic means nothing.
