Good shit anon. As an aside, and regarding the WW2 draft, the first world war had a far amount of fuckery in this regard. Draft boards were notoriously corrupt in Democrat leaning districts (New York, Chicago).
Also of note is Roosevelt's volunteer army that he raised to go fight in the war. President Wilson declined their offer to go fight in a letter to Roosevelt, and on the same day signed national conscription into law.
