Exactly. The H1-B system doesn't just suck for American workers. It sucks for the recipients too.
They are brought here and paid less than their American counterparts. And they can't leave the company that sponsors their Visa. They try to get green cards by paying expensive lawyers and begging the sponsoring company. They can't quit while they go through the sponsorship process unless they can beg another company to sponsor them. And if they get fired, they and their families get deported.
It sucks for everyone - except the company that gets to keep workers at cut rates.
