I worked on the Atlanta international airport the building is like a mile long , we used lasers to shoot our soffit lines and they would always get off every 50 feet about 1/4 inch
We got the manufacturer out to calibrate them and still the same thing the points would not match up shooting back and forth
in the end we just floated the lines to make them match up
