Not sure how to ask this without potentially sliding, but genuinely wondering:

 

Since the Masons have to take an oath to their society above their country, regardless of any infiltration/conspiracy/malevolence, isn’t that oath alone a form of sedition or treason?

 

Should we allow selective and secretive societies to exist that prioritize loyalty to their organization even above their country?

 

At the very least, shouldn’t that be considered a conflict of interest that prohibits members to hold positions with government?
