Is there any way to know the number of newly filed sealed criminal indictments in Pacer for all of 2017? 10/31/16-10/30/17?
Anyway to know the TOTAL number of sealed criminal indictments already in the system when we first started keeping track?
Without knowing how many indictments in 2006 were excluded from the 2009 study because they were unsealed before the file was accessed in 2008, or having other data from other time periods to compare our apples to other apples, as grateful as I am for everyone's efforts, I don't think we can say with confidence that data is unusual.
PLEASE prove me wrong.
