Social media IS controlled by scripted posts, but that is NOT AI, precisely defined!
We certainly have artificial INTELLECT’s, as we can now program most human intellectual FOCUSSED TASKS into algorithms with enough data, as any methodical action, even with decision points, can be modeled.
However, intelligence at its root, is AWARENESS, not knowledge processing!
To understand awareness in a fractally-dimensioned physical universe, we look to biological systems as the model.
For there to be intelligent awareness, there must be some connection to fractal chaos, which biological systems provide. The architecture of any machine must be capable of dynamic remodeling, on the fly, such as neural network topology.
To be clear, there may well be such hybrid architecture machines running infant AI’s AND the quantum computing platform, which provides the connection to non-deterministic systems, is obviously far more advanced than publicized.
My point is to PUSH BACK on the predictive programming, used primarily to intimidate the mass mind, which conflates intellectual processes with intelligence!
We all know examples of “educationally” programmed intellects, who are inert to any awareness. IYI, Intellectual yet idiots
But the tech used in social media to generate steering posts is NOT AI. AI is not required to perform these low level, brute force echo chamber tricks!
There may be the 7 dwarfs, using high capacity to herd the big data into patterns for action, but only an equivalent to a nervous system, combined with high volume of data, can be trained into higher awareness. If the existing super computers are still hosted on deterministic platforms, they will never “wake up”, no matter if the so-called threshold of connections is exceeded.
Knowledge based algorithms, using vast databases for source content, merely pretend to pass the Turing test. Most human conversations (at least on the anti-social media sites) are so dumbed down by now, it effectively lowered the bar for the Turing test, as the contrast between human intelligence and automated regurgitation fades to grey!
All of this confusion/conflation of AI and artificial intellects is simply a form of:
Predictive Programming
to make the mass mind easily accept eventual control by “objective” AI controllers, the “Master Program”, who are neutral and have no human biases, don’t you know!
