From William Cooper on Secret Societies.
"Secret societies mirror many facets of ordinary life. There is always an exclusivity of membership with the resultant importance of being or becoming a member. This is found in all human endeavors even those which are not secret, such as football teams or country clubs. This exclusivity of member is actually one of the secret societies most powerful weapons. There is the use of signs, passwords and other tools. These have always performed valuable functions in man's organizations everywhere, he stated reason almost always different from the real reason for the societies existence is important. It can be anything but it is usually fraternal and is said to be existing for the good of the community. And it is found in all pressure groups wherever human beings congregate."
The chans also mirror a secret society or a fraternity if you prefer that term. We have neophytes (newfags) initiates (anons) We have our own coded language (kys, lurk moar, you have to go back) and traditions, have been through similar initiation rituals (being told kys and called many names over and over, etc) We have our place where we congregate (8chan) etc. We know when someone posts here and is not one of us.
This is also why (((They))) call us a cult, it's a form of projection, it is also why we are threat and maybe even why Q chose the chans. We have an organic cohesiveness that was preexisting and no organization can take out.
