Team,

Having grown up in the 90s, my life when I was a child was somewhat serene.

It's almost as if my generation was the last of the ones allowed to grow up somewhat normal.

We did all the shit that normal children should do, build forts, fire, rebel and make friends.

These days, I look around and see the children of today staring at screens and refusing to explore the world around them.

The problem is that most of their peers are doing the same and they don't know any different.

Some may say that this is a boomer mindset, but the idea is that children should learn about the real world before they learn about the virtual world.

The other problem is that parents see technology as an easy way to "babysit" so that they can do what they perceive they have to do.

In some sense, some forms of technology are a blight on our civilization as long as no control is provided.

This control should not be overwhelming, it should be organic and come from family not law.

We cannot allow our children to succumb to the fruits of the poison tree("knowledge" without understanding).

The poison tree being the ultimate form of instant gratification, the logical conclusion of audio video and haptic content. -An alternate imaginary life.

This is the poison that destroys our way of life. Imagine exerting no effort to gain exactly what you seek.

If it ever comes to that point there will be nothing known as a struggle any further and humanity will forever be sheep.

We must not allow the acceptance of reward without struggle to flourish any further.

To do so will be the end of humanity as we know it.

Have children.

Teach them.

Teach them right from wrong.

Teach them to find and work with other children that have been taught correctly.

Watch the world shine.
