Most people are good. So most people in every group that does not advertise itself as evil, or one is born as, will consist of a mix that reflects the general population. But there are bad apples in every barrel. It is the loose network of these bad apples that the good guys are fighting.
That for removal of a pres, vp, or other executive branch official. Removal of a sitting congress(wo)man is determined by the same branch of the legislature:

So for congresscritters it's a strictly internal matter. There might some addition laws and/or rules for the details. I donno about them.
For proper treason, yes. But sedition does not require all that. And there are enough other felonies that most of them (and all the major ones) could be charged with to put them away for several lifetimes.
