Any lawfags here? Been scratching my head on this for some time, and would like some help on this question.

 

I've seen a couple different anons here and on half chan say that because of the government shutdown, lawmakers in the House and Senate do not have the legal protections of the Constitution from being immediately removed from their positions, or words to that effect. My problem is that I don't understand why a shutdown would render the Constitutional requirement of removal by 2/3s vote of either House or Senate moot.

 

Can a lawfag please explain if this is true and why?
