Gets better Anons:

So the first paper in '52… Guy says, "ya know… I was sitting around with my creepy elite friends at a creepy elite party (ok not officially) and I was thinking to myself: what if we just throw out everything we know about this SCHIZOPHRENIA stuff and start over with a totally new approach. Why don't we assume there's something better out there that explains what's going on and set out to find it. Let's think totally out of the box."

He goes on to connect hallucinating on psychadelics with psychosis, and proposes there just might be a substance produced by the body that causes it, and puts forth the molecular structure of LSD (If memory serves). He encourages all scientists to go look for it.

This is where it gets good. He doesn't present this paper to a room full of scientists. He doesn't take it to a University. No anons; the first time this paper sees the light of day in public is at the 'Committee for Dimentia Praecox (early term for schizophrenia) of the NEW YORK SCOTTISH RITES.

Effing Masons, anons!

They were VERY INTERESTED in this field, up through the 80s and possibly today even.

And schizophrenia, at the time, wasn't considered just something that happened to young adults. KIDS guise!
