REPORT: Trump Legal Team Tells Mueller to Pound Sand – Rejects Mueller Request For Sit-Down Interview With POTUS

According to a new report by CNN, Trump’s legal team told Mueller to pound sand and rejected a request from the special counsel for a sit-down interview with the president.

Mueller made the request after President Trump’s lawyers responded in writing to a list of questions from the special counsel about so-called ‘Russian collusion,’ not about ‘obstruction of justice.’

Trump’s legal team and Mueller’s thugs have been sparring over the issue of an in-person interview for over a month and Trump’s lawyers are saying NO WAY.

Rudy Giuliani, one of Trump’s personal lawyers said in a December interview on Fox News that an interview with Mueller would happen “over my dead body.”

A source told CNN that “Mueller is not satisfied” with just written answers from President Trump.

Trump’s legal team has closed the door to any further responses to crooked cop Mueller, sources told CNN.

To date, Mueller has not charged one American with the crime of ‘Russian collusion’ because it’s not a crime — all charges have been for ‘making false statements’ either to federal investigators or to Congress.

If not for Mueller’s witch hunt, none of these people would have been charged with anything. In other words, Mueller’s investigation created the crimes since none of the charges stem from ‘Russian collusion.’

Many reports claim that Mueller is winding down his Russian witch hunt, however, an Obama-appointed judge just extended the Mueller grand jury for up to six months.

Mueller could still try to issue a presidential subpoena which would ignite a huge legal battle that would end up in the Supreme Court.

Bill Barr, President Trump’s nominee to be the next Attorney General will not stop Mueller’s inquisition if he is confirmed.

According to his prepared remarks, Mr. Barr will tell Senators during his confirmation hearing this week that it’s vitally important Mueller complete his Russia probe.

RECORD: 771 Migrants Apprehended at Texas Border on Day After Trump’s Visit

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector reported a new daily record for the number of migrants apprehended after illegally crossing in 2019. The record comes one day after President Donald Trump’s visit to the South Texas border region.

Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector agents reported the apprehension of a record-setting 771 migrants on Friday after President Trump visited the area one day earlier. The apprehensions mark a record-setting day from the sector and eclipsed the 456 apprehensions from the day before his visit.

“771 apprehensions in a single day is a glaring indicator of the need for additional border security resources in South Texas,” RGV Acting Chief Patrol Agent Raul Ortiz said in a written statement. “Friday’s numbers support the President’s assertion that the current state of the border remains porous. There is currently not enough infrastructure to adequately address the hundreds of illegals who cross here every night.”

Ortiz recently succeeded Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, who received a promotion late last year to head the Joint Task Force-West in San Antonio.

Chief Ortiz briefed the president during his visit to the sector on January 10 on the need for additional fencing/walls in the region. In November and December 2018, the Trump administration awarded at least three contracts to build new barriers, add permanent gates between current fencing segments, and upgrade existing barrier infrastructure.

The RGV Sector is continuously the most active sector for the apprehension of migrants who cross the border — often accounting for more than 60 percent of total border apprehensions. A very large percentage of those apprehensions are unaccompanied minors and family units, according to the latest Southwest Border Migration Report published by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

On the day before Trump’s visit to the region, agents apprehended 456 migrants and on the day of the president’s visit, 391. RGV officials reported an average of about 400 per day in the days leading up to the presidential visit.

California Election Watchdog Celebrates Lawsuit Win, Plans ‘Deep Audit’

As many as 1.5 million inactive registered names on the voter rolls in Los Angeles County alone are being contacted for potential removal, after the recently-announced settlement of a lawsuit against the state of California and Los Angeles County initiated by Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa) and Judicial Watch.

Inactive voters who have not voted in two general federal elections will receive a postcard in the mail, and if the postcard is not returned, those names will be removed from the voter registration list. The entire process of cleaning the voter rolls of deceased and other ineligible voters will take up to eight years, according to Linda Paine, president of EIPCa.

EIPCa held a special meeting with local supporters in Pasadena, California on Jan. 12 to celebrate the settlement, which they consider a “colossal win.”

“This is powerful. This is historic. This has never happened in the state before, where a citizen group documented, researched, and sued the state of California and the LA County Registrar to ensure that they become compliant with federal law, so this is huge,” said Paine at the meeting.

In August 2017, EIPCa filed the lawsuit as a primary plaintiff, alleging “that the defendants were not following the requirements of Section 8 of the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). The NVRA requires states to reasonably maintain state and county voter registration rolls. The mandates of this settlement, when performed, will bring California into federal compliance as is required of every other state,” according to a press release.

The lawsuit found that California has not cleaned up its voter rolls for more than 20 years. A 2018 Supreme Court ruling also confirmed the voter registration cleanups were mandatory under the NVRA.

Dean Logan, Los Angeles County’s registrar-recorder and county clerk, responded to the settlement in an emailed statement to The Epoch Times on Jan. 14.

“Los Angeles County prioritizes the maintenance of voter records and works hard to maintain protections that ensure eligible voters stay on the rolls in compliance with state and federal voter registration laws. In settling this lawsuit, all parties agree that they each had a good faith interpretation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) requirements, state law, and federal law regarding voter file maintenance,” read the statement.

Logan also said the settlement included no admission of wrongdoing, and he claimed that Judicial Watch was “inaccurate” in alleging Los Angeles County has a registration rate of 112 percent of its adult citizen population. Judicial Watch has stated this information was provided to and published by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission.

The 2016 National Voter Registration Act report issued by the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), reported that California was one of nine states that had more people registered to vote than were eligible, with a 100.1 percent registration rate.

Boeing 707 cargo plane crashes in Iran

A Boeing 707 cargo plane flying from the Central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan has crashed in Iran's Alborz province after it overshot the runway during landing. All 16 people on board the aircraft but one are presumed dead.

The military cargo aircraft crashed and caught fire near the city of Karaj on Monday morning while attempting to land in the wrong airport.

"A (Boeing) 707 cargo plane, which was carrying meat, took off from Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and had an emergency landing at Fath airport this morning," the Iranian Army said in a statement on its website.

The head of Iran's emergency department, Pirhossein Kolivand, said the bodies of seven people had been found. The flight engineer is reported to have survived the crash but is in critical condition.

Initial reports suggested that the plane was due to arrive at Karaj's Payam Airport but the pilot took the plane to the Fath airfield by mistake, which is not suited for large cargo aircraft.

The pilot then lost control of the plane, ran out of the runway and hit the walls that separate the airport from neighboring residential areas. There have been reports of damage to some residential facilities which were reportedly vacant at the time of the crash.

Wait until you hear the details in this bill: Oregon proposal would require gun owners to obtain permits

As reported by Oregon Live: A proposal by two Oregon lawmakers to require permits for all gun owners is generating buzz online and among Republicans at the Capitol, even before it’s scheduled to be introduced at the Legislature on Monday.

It’s the brainchild of student activists connected to the movement that grew out of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, where a shooter killed 17 people nearly a year ago, according to the bill. Sen. Rob Wagner, D-Tualatin, and Rep. Andrea Salinas, D-Lake Oswego, are sponsoring it.

Wagner said the bill grew out of a meeting he and Salinas had last year with roughly 300 Oregon students following the Florida shooting. “Any opportunity for conversation around these controversial topics is really important,” Wagner said. “It’s a really important message that we listen to students … about what it’s like to go to school right now.”

The sweeping legislation would also require people to undergo background checks before purchasing or sharing ammunition and would limit ammunition purchases to 20 rounds within a 30-day period, although people could purchase and use unlimited ammunition at shooting ranges. It would ban magazines that hold more than five rounds of ammunition.

Additionally, Senate Bill 501 would require people to securely store their guns and report the loss or theft of a firearm to law enforcement within 24 hours.

If lawmakers pass the proposal, people who ignore it could face severe penalties. For example, anyone who possessed a firearm without a permit could be fine up to $6,250 and sentenced to as much as 364 days in jail.

It’s one of 11 bills dealing with firearms that are scheduled to be introduced on Monday, when lawmakers and Gov. Kate Brown return to Salem to be sworn in for their new terms. The Legislative session begins Jan. 22. Not all of the bills would regulate guns. For example, House Bill 2287 would allow school districts to allow firearm safety courses on school property.

In a press release on Friday, Rep. Bill Post, a Republican from Keizer, said the ammunition purchase limit would make it difficult for gun owners to become proficient and should worry duck hunters. Post also said he was worried the bill’s ban on magazines to hold more than five rounds of ammunition would mean “your old six-shot revolver would be required to be turned in or destroyed.”

However, the bill exempts .22-caliber revolvers and any lever-action revolver.

A separate bill is also being introduced that would require gun owners to securely store their weapons with locks and make it easier for shooting victims to sue for damages if the gun owner failed to secure the weapon, report the loss or theft of the gun in a timely manner or supervise a child using the gun.

The proposal is named after the two people killed in the 2012 Clackamas Town Center shooting and their relatives are working to pass it.

Court Ruling Confirms Merck’s Gardasil HPV Vaccine Kills People – Did Anyone Even Notice?

When Colorado decriminalized marijuana, that was one thing. Whether or not I agree with that decision, I understand the reasoning behind it. But this?

Hot Air reports that the Denver City Council recently voted to decriminalize a whole host of very disgusting activities — including defecating and urinating in public. Here are the details to the story:

Democrat Mayor Michael Hancock and city officials explained the new ordinances are designed to protect immigrants — legal and the other kind — from “unintended consequences.” These consequences were fines and longer jail terms, as has been customary in most places for violating the behavioral norms of civilized American society. Our Jazz Shaw explained the puzzling initial city council vote and the media’s slanted coverage here.

The extinct ordinances set all violations of Denver’s municipal code as punishable by up to a year in jail and/or a maximum fine of $999. The new rules, which also apply to homeless, establish two classes of violations: Class I offenses with the same fine and a maximum 300 days in jail. And Class 2 offenses such as public defecation, which are deemed mere “quality of life” issues. They now carry no fine and a max 60 days in jail.

Plus, they decriminalized camping out on public or — get this — private land. I’m sure this is going to turn out just great.

During the weekend yet another demonstration was held in central Stockholm. This time, people gathered at Norrmalmstorg to show their dissatisfaction with how Sweden is governed.

As we reported earlier, the Swedes don’t riot, burn and smash things up like the French – instead they arrange peaceful events with popular speakers.

With a gigantic Swedish flag in the background, the speakers stated their opinion one at a time.

Independent politician Morten Källström asked why Sweden looks like it does today, with politicians who neither speak of the problems nor do something about them. “It is because we have no democracy. Our country is about as democratic as the former communist states of eastern Europe. We need politicians who dare speak up and state their opinion”, he stated and told the audience that, “Nepotism is the reason, and more power to the people is the answer.”

Theologian Irma Udelius pointed out that since feminism was elevated to state ideology in Sweden, the number of rapes has multiplied, and genital mutilation and child marriage have become part of everyday life. The solution, she explained, is to pause feminism and reinstate the patriarchy – for a period of 10-20 years. And then conduct a referendum to ascertain whether people think society has gotten better or worse.

“It is no longer about the right and the left, it’s about we, the people against our power-abusing politicians”, journalist and writer Katerina Janouch stated. “Between 2015 and 2018, we took in 522.980 migrants. An unimaginable amount that we are unable to handle. We spend billions on people without valid grounds for asylum, while our pensioners can’t afford a proper meal.”
