Oh, and the murders and kidnapping took place in Barron County. If there are sexual assault charges, they would be filed in Douglas County at a later date.
Charges are filed within the precinct in which the crime occurred. Correct, all those are violations of state law. They probably don't have enough evidence gathered yet on the assault charges to file them. The priority was getting the initial interview completed and getting Jayme home to her family. I suspect more will happen when they feel the time is right.
If I wasn't clear, the murders and kidnapping occurred in Barron County and she was immediately moved to and held in Douglas County. All charges would be filed in the county in which the crime occurred.
