Legal status violation refers to an act amounting to an offense that is committed in the position of a legal status. Legal status violation occurs when a defendant, while under any of the forms of legal status commits an offense that results in conviction. It includes: an escape from incarceration, a flight to avoid prosecution, a failure to appear for a criminal proceeding, and a violation of any condition of a supersedeas bond. [Fla. R. Crim.
