I was wondering about this, figured I'd share as it's topical. No time for edits, please forgive me for English accidents.

First, POTUS meets with Pelosi and Count Shumer, makes it open to press and gives them a solid pubic embarassing

Yet, POTUS already has 100% potential to get the Wall

• Military budget allocation to Army Corp of Engineers

• National Emergency Powers, at his will

POTUS chooses not to and "gives the Democrats a chance" to make a deal.

Pelosi and Shumer put on that weird televised rebuttal after POTUS' National Address. Stiff as boards and obviously acting in portrayal in their body languge, their rebuttal's context stood in stark contrast to POTUS' message moments before.

Of course they were acting, as they always have in public & on camera, but I wonder if the Director was POTUS.

Why?

POTUS implementation of controlled opposition.

If you control both sides of a battle, you can orchestrate scenarios.

Scenario: Govt Shutdown, Longest of All Time in classic Top Trump fashion

As I understand it, these would include those nigh permanently embedded Obama-era SES, who have indeed been working against POTUS, and some against the country itself. Cleaning even a percentage of these out will have a big potential benefit for our country.

And what else does POTUS reap?

• Strengthen base by demanstration of his resolve towards this promised goal while simultaneously making it clear to them that he's being impeded, who's doing it and how.

• Nullify opposition ammunition to use/spin against him in the public space by retaining consistently open willingness to make a deal (though there are those select journalists that will never stop no matter what, as we all know)

• Opportunity for National Address to make a strong statement about the reality of Illegals to significant audience (there are many people who don't even know MS13 exists, let alone things like trafficking)

• Democrat public image, already having climbed into a frying pan since at least Kavanaugh, is becoming seared. The only thing holding that party together is the illusion continually being maintained over many of the constituents that say they subscribe. Sure it would be wonderful if the wizards were more hastily removed from the picture, but it might be that the illusion breaks before that due to overcooking.

Has this Shutdown been in POTUS' palm this whole time?
