I can't imagine your Constitutional rights just because the two branches of government in charge of protecting them ran out of money to do so.

The government's. Believe it or not, that's actually their job. Doesn't mean they do it very well.
And we hired the government to execute that responsibility. "The people" don't have the ability themselves, which is why we vest it in the government. Stop with the silly platitude.
Sigh… the Constitution is the document that describes what the government is for, so yeah, it is their job. You can't defend yourself from, say, a mob that decides to take your property.

Seriously? Of course it's real. We already have it, just spread out under (mostly) the USAF plus a few elements in the Army and Navy. AF Space Command is a MAJCOM, most of which will be moved into the Space Force, and the President just created a new COCOM as well.
