Why would a cell phone tower, fiber optic cable, infrastructure company have this as a logo?

Been digging on this company and they are spooky as hell.

Edits on Dikipedia are very interesting.

The used to own BBC. It was a British company but you really have to dig to find any info on it. They do not even say on their website that they were previously owned.

On Bloomburg Report:

Crown Castle owns, operates and leases more than 40,000 cell towers and approximately 65,000 route miles of fiber supporting small cells and fiber solutions across every major U.S. market. This nationwide portfolio of communications infrastructure connects cities and communities to essential data, technology and wireless service.
