>>4775695 (pb) >>4775707 (pb) Furloughed Feds Won’t Be RIFed If Government Shutdown Extends Past 30 Days, OMB Says

Heads Up on the (RIF) Question/Issue resulting from the (Furloughs) during a prolonged (Fed Gov Shut-Down)

I find (Two Sections) of (Fed Gov - Title 5: Administrative Personnel) that apply. Might be moar, but these two are the most apparently applicable.

As usual, the process to "RIF" Fed employees is made complicated.

Found at this website:

(Electronic Code of Federal Regulations)

(e-CFR data is current as of December 20, 2018)

1: [Title 5 U.S.C. - 351] → Applies to all NON SES Employees

2: [Title 5 U.S.C. - 359] → Applies to SES Employees

  • Harder to get rid of SES employees.

>Two< sets of rules. Something to keep in mind.

This is a place to start for your own research of the issue.
