Creepy as hell. Although it's almost nice to see they have to resort to "candy in a van" again. It's a good measure of just how much of their pipelines have been rolled up.

I assume JR was a genuine guy who got spooked and agreed to tread carefully, dissuade a little bit. I don't necessarily think he's cabal, but I do think he flew too close to the sun and decided to back off.
