Vattel was never law, it's just a book. Imo, natural-born for our purposes just means born in the USA. There's no law that says otherwise.

Imo, natrual-born only means born on US soil. It's not, however, a settled question. The Minor court only found that Virginia was indeed a citizen by virtue of her US birth to two US citizens, the Court did not establish that as a definition for all citizens, just for her, where her citizenship was certain.

I dont think Soetero was born in HI because there is no legit birth cert. At one point, he was an Indonesian citizenship and he never repatriated (if that was even possible). He also apparently attended college as a foreign student, with corresponding scholarships not available to Americans. He also uses a stolen SSN of H. Bounel. There's actually NO EVIDENCE THAT SOETERO IS A CITIZEN.

I'm a long-time lawyer and I'm familiar with the subject. What is a natural-born citizen is an unsettled legal question, there is no definitive case or statute on the definition.
