President al-Assad made it clear that pressures and policies pursued by some Western countries against Russia with every victory being achieved against terrorists in Syria are the best evidence that the terrorist war waged against the Syrian people is no longer limited to Syria only and this underlines the importance of cementing the Syrian-Russian relations at this important stage of the region’s history.

Darar: Turkey Cannot Have a Hand in the Safe Zone in Northern Syria
Darar continued his statement on the Al-Arabiya Net website, saying, “If Ankara says it is interested in this, then it should be concerned with protecting its border only from its side, and not by entering into Syrian territory. If its forces entered into this area, then this is an occupation. The safe zone must be protected from both parties by neutral forces.” He said that, “Ankara’s presence in any Syrian area is a continuous threat, and allows extremists to remain, as a result of their cooperation with them.”

Tiger Forces Are Massing Troops In Northwestern Hama
A source in the SAA told SouthFront that the claims of a near military operation around Idlib could be not accurate. However, he confirmed that the Tiger Forces were deployed in northwestern Hama and revealed that many units of the Republican Guard, 1st Division, 3rd Division, 9th Division and the 100th Regiment will be also deployed in the region soon.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan are set to meet in Moscow on January 23 to discuss the situation in Idlib among other issues.
