I am not one of those who hate police as a whole, but something has to be done about how the police go about their jobs. They ignore constitutional rights, are actually trained to get people to surrender their rights, and then get all aggressive when people don't bow down to them.

This is just one of many, many examples of out of control bullies with badges. Most of the time they are not punished even when evidence of their guilt is clear. Make an example of a few of the truly bad ones and many others will get in line.

Yep. I even knew a guy who became a cop because he was picked on in high school and said "I going to be a cop so I can kick some ass." He is now in charge of a lot of officers and is the same little prick he was in high school.

It really comes down to true accountability. This guy who shot the dog needs to spend a year in jail for abuse of power, illegal discharge of a firearm, and conduct unbecoming an officer. He should also have to pay all bills relating to the dog.

Accountability and justice go hand in hand.
