Meh, humanity does that part fine all on its own… it serves some purposes, as by its nature unfettered economic activity is destructive to some and benefits others unjustly. Because of this some safety nets are simply sensible and since most of that money ends up being taxed it does not hurt government coffers as much as it might seem to.
