The Sacrament only absolves one from sin already committed, not from that contemplated. One must show evidence of contrition, do you see that in the Jewish text? Nope. You must make a firm purpose of amendment, i.e. go and sin no more. You must take steps to avoid the sin or the occasion thereof. You must do penance and or make restitution materially or other act as directed. If you are subject
to punishment by the state and that punishment is within the power of the temporal power to make without being unjust you
must accept that punishment without complaint.
You really think the Sacrament of Confession is in any way like that nonsense?
Insincere Catholics, Anon, don't make confessions at all, or if they do, they lie. The Sacrament is of NO EFFECT…as if they care anyway. lol
Which is against the rules, not in keeping with them. What that Jewish text is, is a declaration of war against the truth and the dogma of oath breakers.
