There was some very small (compared to a jumbo jet) craft that hit the pentagon, some say missile.
The wreckage does not support large passenger jet.

The truck outside was the bomb that was supposed to trigger the others.
The others (strapped to columns) used detonators that trigger from shock blast from another bomb, basically a chain of events where one triggers the ones around it.
They failed to create enough shock to detonate the main ones in the back of the building. Only the front ones triggered nearest the truck bomb.
They removed them (video exists) and news MSM Mockingbird did its job once again.
