There are some Doctors who will perform a medically induced coma while you go through the worst of the withdrawals however It shouldnt be necessary.
Keep in mind Suboxone and Subutex are still powerful synthetic opiates although a far better alternative than duragesic fentanyl patches.
Neurontin or gabapentin is a non narcotic option to assist however it has started to be abused and has short term memory loss as one of its side effects.
