U.S. vehicle deaths topped 40,000 in 2017, National Safety Council estimates

Opioid Pain Reliever legal Prescriptions not including Illegal Fentynal 19,354 deaths including suicides.

And why are we spending billions on a supposed "Opioid" Crisis when the real crisis is automobiles causing twice as many deaths?

Spit it out!!! What is the real deal here? Unless you are into torturing the elderly and disabled.. eh Q?

National Overdose Deaths—Number of Deaths Involving Prescription Opioid Pain Relievers (excluding non-methadone synthetics). The figure above is a bar chart showing the total number of U.S. overdose deaths involving opioid pain relievers (excluding non-methadone synthetics) from 2002 to 2016. Non-methadone synthetics is a category dominated by illicit fentanyl, and has been excluded to more accurately reflect deaths from prescription opioids. The chart is overlayed by a line graph showing the number of deaths of females and males. From 2002 to 2011 there was a 1.9-fold increase in the total number of deaths, but it has remained relatively stable since then.

Still my poor mother who has been disabled for over 25 years due to a stroke isn't getting her pain relieved because of a few spoiled brat rich "junkies"

Millions of elderly and disabled are suffering because of 20,000 prescription deaths most likely due to suicide, meaning it would be done anyway. IT is Horse Crap!! The only thing keeping me from being 100% Q is the damage they are doing to my family, my health due to the stress of watching her unable to breath because her contractures are out of control..

What I want to know is the real story behind opioids and if there is something nefarious going on we don't know about? Because the numbers don't match crisis number. Not even close.. Less than 20,000 a year. Otherwise where were the protocols for the elderly , disabled and homebound protecting their rights? Believe me I hate that she takes them not because of the opioid but because of the acetaminophen. I have yet to see what the downside of opioid's are.. only the OTC acetaminophen doing its liver damage.

She is getting help now because of the opioid its just that she fell through a hole of healthcare and lost that doctor through no fault of ours and there is literally not another doctor to pick up.

I know .. I know.. You say that is a legal cause of action called "patient abandonment" A doctor cannot abandon a patient in rural area if the are the "only game in town". True .. But here is the kicker.. Find a lawyer to go to bat for patients? They won't until there is an injuring or killed. Then you can find malpractice doctors kicking down doors.

There is a whole set of laws in place that is suppose to protect patients especially elderly patients in rural areas.. Nope.. I can't even hire a lawyer for 25,000 .. Because no one has ever heard of such a lawyer. Sure there is eldercare lawyers but all they want to do is charge $2000 for a POA.. No one wants to dig in and get dirty.

Everything about is all just such bad timing..

Yes of course synthetic opioids like managed hydrocodone, oxicodone etc. Speaking from experience of a 27 year caregiver they provide very important relief to many elderly so they can move and stay functional. If people are disabled then they are especially vulnerable to becoming atrophied from not moving. Moving is important. The more atrophied, more pain then less movement and so on.. When the pain is not managed then moving stops, caregiver burden increases, caregiver stress causes heart damage to caregiver, patient non movement causes patient heart damage and it is a never ending spiral of an early death for both innocent bystanders just trying to do good.

Why must caregivers for the elderly be the most exploited, pooped on, least cared about people and the one group that never gets help in this country? It really is the most nefarious and cruel thing the Cabal did. Set it up so that caregivers where 85% are women would be destroyed financially wise because of no contributions to retirement, forced to give up family, friends and children because we get it. Whereas the rest of you have been brainwashed to believe that the answer is a nursing home. Well Nursing homes are evil evil.. Ever heard of antibiotic resistant infections? Do you know the statistics? Have you read the multiple studies where doctors suggest they should just ignore infections in nursing homes in order to practice "antibiotic stewardship"? Sounds like a conspiracy eh? Americans don't understand when they place an elderly in a nursing home you are signing their death certificate to be handed back to you in 6 months. (((they))) must be laughing at how Americans so easily throw their parents away. It is ugly.

I made a deal with you know who in the heavens 27 years ago and he has stuck by his side so it is only right I do the same. I only asked for at least 5 precious years and we are still going after 27.. You don't walk away from the deal I made and put a loved one in a nursing home. Its not right. But it is not getting easier 2 years into trump admin. Its just getting so much worse now in the healthcare industry when it comes to our elders. They really are killing them off for no reason…
