The United Nations is trying to grab control of worldwide immigration policies

While President Donald Trump seeks funding for a border wall, the United Nations is seeking control of migration policies worldwide, with a campaign configured to undermine America’s sovereignty and control over its own borders. And, yes, if the U.N. has its way, America will help pay for it.

As with many of the U.N.‘s turf grabs, this campaign to co-opt national migration policy has been years in the making. Incremental in its origins, and swaddled in U.N. jargon and procedure, it has largely escaped the U.S. headlines. But it’s now reached the stage of becoming dangerous.

.

The spearhead of this U.N. campaign is an international agreement with the high-minded name of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. That’s not remotely what this document boils down to. While proclaiming a utopian “unity of purpose” among the 193 highly diverse member states, this Global Compact would have the U.N.‘s largely unaccountable, self-aggrandizing and often opaque bureaucracy, operating in service of its despot-infested collective of governments, set the terms for all.

The lengthy text reads like a template for setting up the world’s most politically correct welfare state, with a colossal menu of entitlements and central planning for migrants; never mind the cost to the pockets, rights and freedoms of the existing citizens. This “compact” does not restrict itself to refugees. It anoints the U.N. as arbiter of how to handle cross-border human mobility worldwide, meaning migrants, permanent or temporary, whatever their reasons for wanting to move. In this scheme of the universe, the U.N. proposes to become the overarching authority “addressing migration in all its dimensions.”

Iran’s regime losing hope in Europe, concerned over Warsaw conference

Jan. 17, 2019 - Warsaw will be hosting an international conference in the middle of February and the Iranian regime is already expressing deep concerns in this regard.

The state-run “Iranian Diplomacy” website writes about a wave of different blows inflicted upon Tehran’s mullahs, especially their policy of warmongering and terrorism across the region.

“The expulsion of Iranian diplomats from Tirana (capital of Albania); the anti-[Iranian regime] conference in Warsaw scheduled for February 13-14 parallel to the recent Iranophobia in Denmark and the Netherlands; Vienna refusing to host the ‘special purpose vehicle’ office, the recent sanctions imposed by the Green Continent against Iran; and the European Union’s simultaneous efforts to pursue activities aimed at launching the SPV, all render complicated circumstances and even contradicting behavior by the Europeans vis-à-vis Iran.”

Jahan-e Sanat, another state-run newspaper in Iran, also wrote about increasing worries among the Iranian regime over the upcoming Warsaw Conference.

“The Warsaw meeting should be considered Washington’s necessity to take advantage of existing rifts in Europe and push the Iran dossier into the international stage. By doing so, Washington seeks to further deepen the divides in the European Union. Washington’s ultimate objective in these efforts is to create obstacles for Europe in pursing the SPV initiative,” the daily wrote.

The collapse of HEPCO: How the Iranian regime is destroying the country’s vital industries

Jan. 18, 2019 - The Heavy Equipment Production company (HEPCO) used to be one of the first and biggest manufacturers of construction in Iran and the Middle East. Based in Arak, the company was founded in 1974 with funding from private investors and with the aim of producing construction vehicles (front loaders, graders…) for Iran’s construction and development projects. In addition to producing construction equipment, HEPCO has played a vital role in manufacturing agriculture and mining machinery. HEPCO began its cooperation with international firms in construction projects as early as 1975.

At the time of its founding, HEPCO was among the most advanced industrial manufacturing companies, and it had access to advanced software for engineering, production and services. The company was able to produce more than 3,000 pieces of heavy machinery per year.

But after the 1979 revolution, when the mullahs rose to power, like many other vital industries and infrastructures of the country, HEPCO was seized by organizations and persons tied with regime officials and the notorious Revolutionary Guards.

And like many other vital resources of Iran, HEPCO became subject to the plundering and mismanagement that characterizes the Iranian regime in its entirety. After decades of being run by corrupt officials, HEPCO, once a symbol of Iran’s industrial flourishment, is barely a shadow of its former self, a bankrupt industrial complex that has become the point of contention between workers and the government.

Show Me The Data: The Pentagon’s Two-Pronged AI Plan

“It’s not going to be just about , ’how do we get a lot of data?’" deputy undersecretary Lisa Porter told the House subcommittee. "It’s going to be about, how do we develop algorithms that don’t need as much data? How do we develop algorithms that we trust?"

WASHINGTON: Having bet heavily on artificial intelligence, the Pentagon now has a two-pronged plan to overcome the biggest obstacle to AI: the data.

VIDEO: Students hate 'toxic masculinity'…but don't know what

Campus Reform asked students at Georgetown about "toxic masculinity."

But hardly any students even knew what "toxic masculinity" was.

Gillette recently sparked controversy after the release of a new ad highlighting specific male behavior, referred to as “toxic masculinity.”

The term, though often cited on college campuses and in gender studies programs, has rarely made it into the national conversation until now.

“There isn’t a sort of logic to it…”

Wanting to know what college students thought of the concept, Campus Reform's Emma Meshell headed to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After just a few interviews, it became clear that students, for the most part, supported the ad. But while students were in near universal agreement about their feelings toward the concept, they came nowhere near an agreement on what "toxic masculinity" even is.

In fact, many struggled to give a definition at all.

Republicans should do as many as their constituents do and stop believing every word they read in the New York Times.

RINOS Making Way For The Era of the Holier-Than-Thou Accusers

We have now entered—without much screaming and kicking along the way— in The Era of the Holier-Than-Thou Accusers.

That the getting to be prolific accusers are also the abusers of innocent targeted victims seems to be going straight over the heads of the chattering classes.

.

Christine Blasey Ford opened the door on the Era of the Holier-Than-Now Accusers with unproven accusations that almost killed Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

Over-the-top Ford supporters almost succeeded in kicking in the door of the supreme court. They failed when the door was left standing—but left wide open for the next helpless victim of baseless accusations.

That was in October. Four months later, accusations by the devious New York Times against 9-term Iowa Congressman Steven King seek to end his career.

There is no tape of King’s 56-minute ‘interview’ with the New York Times, no proof whatsoever that he made the statements the NYT reported.

U.S. Could Soon Pump More Crude Than Saudis Can at Their Peak

(Bloomberg) – America’s journey to preeminence in the global oil trade is about to hit another milestone.

Propelled by the shale-oil boom, the U.S. is already producing more crude than either Russia or Saudi Arabia, who until recently vied for the top spot. By mid-year America will go one better.

At the moment, Saudi Arabia could raise production all the way up to its maximum capacity of 12 million barrels a day, surpassing the 11.8 million daily barrels produced by the U.S. in December, according to the International Energy Agency. Soon even that won’t be enough.

Philippines turns over to Beijing ex-Chinese gov’t official wanted for graft

An ex-government official from China wanted for “corruption and economic crimes” involving U.S. $210 million faces deportation after being arrested in the Philippines and turned over to Chinese authorities in Manila, the Filipino immigration bureau said Wednesday.

Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and immigration agents took Xie Haojie, 49, into custody during a raid on Sunday at a condominium in Pasay city, a suburb of Manila, Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said.

Xie had been hiding in the Philippines since last year after fleeing China to evade prosecution over a criminal offense, Morente said, adding that his counterpart in Beijing had asked PACC to help them track down the fugitive. Both agencies had coordinated closely with each other in making the arrest, he said.

“He will immediately be deported back to China so he could face the cases lodged against him. His name will also be included in our blacklist to prevent him from re-entering the Philippines,” Morente said of Xie.

“We will not tolerate the presence of undesirable aliens using the Philippines as a hideout. Fugitives will be sent back to face their crimes,” he added.

NARRATIVE FAIL: Drug Smugglers Bring 700 lbs Of Cocaine Across Border In Area With No Barrier, CBP Says

Border Patrols agents seized hundreds of pounds of cocaine at an unsecured area of the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

"Customs and Border Protection said the suspects were seen loading 'bundles of narcotics' into an off-road-style utility vehicle outside of Garciasville, a city in Texas up against the river," the Washington Examiner reported. "The suspects, apparently aware they had been seen, were able to 'abruptly' drive the vehicle into the river and escape into Mexico."

"705 lbs. of cocaine, caltrops, evidence of sophisticated counter surveillance and a splashdown in one encounter are an obvious reminder of the need for more personnel, technology, and infrastructure in the Rio Grande Valley," acting Chief Patrol Agent Raul Ortiz said in a statement. "Transnational Criminal Organizations continue to exploit areas along our western corridor that accounts for more than 90 percent of our traffic."

FANTASTIC! BUDGET OFFICE Just Added Insult To Pelosi’s Injury With This Notice On Future Travel During The Shutdown

Nancy Pelosi will flip her lid when she finds out that her gravy train on travel will be monitored by the White House Chief of Staff.

No more trips with 100 of her fellow lawmakers to far away places unless it’s approved by the Chief of Staff during the shutdown.

Isn’t that the way it should be? It was wrong enough that Pelosi was leaving D.C. for a week or more while federal workers are hoping lawmakers will negotiate a solution to the border wall funds.

The trip also calls into question why 100 of our Congressmen need to go to Belgium and Afghanistan to thank our troops and discuss foreign affairs right now. Something smells with this junket that would cost taxpayers a bundle. It would be great to know the cost of the trip and of past trips like this one.
