The former general counsel for President Obama made “false and misleading statements” to the Justice Department regarding work he did for the Ukrainian government that has come under scrutiny in the special counsel’s probe.

Greg Craig’s alleged false statements were revealed in a settlement announced Thursday by the Justice Department. The agency announced it was settling with Craig’s former firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, which worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on behalf of Ukraine beginning in 2012.

Black Democratic Lawmaker Says She Fights for Life Because She’s ‘a Christian First’

(CNSNews.com) - Louisiana state Rep. Katrina Jackson (D) told attendees at the 46th annual March for Life on Friday that when people ask her why she, as a black female Democrat, is pro-life, she says it’s because she’s a Christian first.

“I tell people in my state when they ask me why are you a black female Democrat fighting for life. I say, because I’m a Christian first, and then I tell them that Proverbs say God hates the shedding of innocent blood,” she said.

“There’s no blood more innocent than an unborn child who’s never sinned, who never knew sin, and so for them we will continue to [fight] together regardless of being Democrat, Republican, black, white, male or female, we will fight (for life),” Jackson said.

As a border state anon, I'm good with DACA. I know DACA kids, who are now adults, with architectural degrees who cannot work in their chosen field, top of their class in math, musical genius' who want to teach music but cannot, honest, decent people. Being brought here as young children, they are already here and have been for years. Completely acclimated, bi-lingual, here through no fault of their own. Eager to pay taxes and be productive citizens. It seems foolish to me to waste what is already here. I dont think they should be given citizenship, but permanent residency status where they can legally work, pay taxes, etc, with the stipulation that they can never vote, never take public welfare of any kind, never commit a crime. Violation of previous would be subject to immediate deportation. The only pathway to citizenship being honorable military service or some other type of extended service. Doing away with citizenship for children of illegals born here. That would be acceptable DACA.

Mexico explosion death toll hits 66, 85 missing

TLAHUELILPAN, Mexico — Hidalgo state Gov. Omar Fayad says the death toll from a pipeline explosion in central Mexico has risen to 66.

Over 85 other people on Saturday were listed as missing a day after a massive fireball erupted at an illegal pipeline tap in the small town of Tlahuelilpan, about 62 miles (100 kilometers) north of Mexico City.
