It makes no sense to jump all over POTUS for his hires because it is incredibly hard to hire people for federal jobs.
Almost no one gets through OPM requirements who is not already a FED employee, or has a resume appropriate for OPM.
Basically you need to be approved by Democrats to get to work in a Republican adminstration.
