DC Women’s March Changes Course, Heading to the White House for Trump’s Border Security Announcement –Move to 4 PM

The DC Women’s March was scheduled to wrap up at 2:30, but the leadership has now changed their plans and are directing the march to go to the White House at 3 p.m. — an hour ahead of President Donald Trump’s border security announcement.

According to a source, the last minute change of plans came about a half an hour before the march was supposed to conclude.

WASHINGTON, DC- JAN 21- Groups gather for the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 in Washington, D.C. (For the Washington Post: Amanda Voisard)

The group will be marching a half mile from Freedom Plaza to Lafayette Park.

Though there are still a large number of protesters, the crowd is much smaller than previous years — amid controversy about the leaders ties to antisemitism and Louis Farrakhan.

At the NYC march, Laura Loomer rushed the stage and called the attendees out on the march’s “Jew hatred.”

In DC, Tamika Mallory, one of the march’s co-presidents, who has refused to condemn Farrakhan calling Jewish people “termites,” attempted to mitigate the damage to their brand.

“To my Muslim sisters, I see you,” Mallory said. “To my Latina sisters, I see you. To my Asian sisters, I see you. To my disabled sisters, I see you. And to my Jewish sisters: Do not let anyone tell you who I am. I see all of you.”

The Gateway Pundit will continue to monitor the march and provide updates if the situation escalates at the White House.

Walkout: Entire Cabinet, Prime Minister of Burkina Faso Quit En Masse

In a surprise move, the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Paul Kaba Thieba along with his entire cabinet resigned from office on Friday.

No explanation was provided for the sudden resignation, which was made public in a televised statement by the nation's president, Roch Marc Christian Kabore.

"Prime Minister Paul Kaba Thieba submitted this afternoon his resignation as well as that of his government," the president reported. Kabore expressed "gratitude to Prime Minister Paul Kaba Thieba and all its ministers for their commitment to the service of the nation."

Thieba became the prime minister of the African nation in January 2016.

Recent disappearances of foreign nationals and jihadist attacks by Ansar ul Islam and the Group to Support Islam and Muslims, affiliated al-Qaeda, led to growing pressure for Thieba's resignation in recent weeks, according to BBC.

Canadian Edith Blais, 34, and her Italian companion Luca Tacchetto, 30, have been missing in the country since mid-December. The two were traveling by car in Burkina Faso between the town of Bobo-Dioulasso and the capital Ouagadougou when they went missing. According to AFP, Blais and Tacchetto were working on a reforestation project with aid group Zion'Gaia

On Wednesday, Canadian geologist Kirk Woodman, believed to be kidnapped by jihadists in the country, was found dead in a gold mine in the country's northeast region.

The Canadian citizen was abducted by gunmen on a mining site owned by Vancouver-based Progress Minerals, located about 20 kilometres away from Mansila in the Yagha province, according to a spokesperson for the West African nation's security ministry. Last week, Burkina Faso authorities extended a state of emergency in several northern provinces over increased activities of Islamist groups in the region. The state of emergency was first declared by the president on December 31.

Over recent years, Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa, has seen an increase in Islamist militant activity by groups in the region linked to al-Qaeda.

Kurdish ‘Autonomous Administration’ Released List Of Demands To Assad Government

On January 19, the Hawar News Agency (ANHA) released a list of demands that the Kurdish-dominated Democratic Federation of Northern Syria (DFNS) will propose during upcoming talks with the Damascus government.

According to the news agency, which is known for its ties to the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the demands are:

1.Unity of the Syrian land;

2 The system in Syria is a democratic republic, and Autonomous Administration is part of this system;

3 Autonomous Administrations have representatives in parliament in the center of Damascus, through their representatives;

4 Along with the Syrian flag, there should be flags representing Autonomous Administrations;

Diplomacy in the areas of Autonomous Administrations does not go contrary to the interests of the Syrian people and constitution;

6 Syrian Democratic Forces are part of the Syrian army, which is responsible for protecting the Syrian border;

7-The Internal Security Forces in the areas of Autonomous Administration operate according to the local councils in a manner that does not contradict with the Syrian constitution;

8-Learning in the mother tongue is the basis of education in the areas of Autonomous Administration, and Arabic is the official language throughout Syria;

9-In Autonomous Administration areas, education in local languages is taught in faculties of history, culture, languages, literature and the like;

10-Distributing the Syrian wealth to the Syrian regions in a fair manner.

The DFNS and the Damascus government resumed their talks last month. The step was a direct result of the U.S. decision to withdraw its troops from the war-torn country.

According to a recent report of the Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, the DFNS presented its list of demands to Russia, which is overseeing the ongoing negotiations between the DFNS and the Damascus government, whose stand on the matter is still not clear.

The U.S. is currently working to pressure the DFNS into accepting another deal that would involve establishing a safe-zone on the Syrian-Turkish border east of the Euphrates River. The plan would allow Turkey to have authority over the zone, where a majority of Kurds live.

Despite this, local observers believe that the Kurdish-dominated administration may end up accepting the U.S. plan, especially that it has already welcomed any cooperation with Turkey.

4 months after the election, Swedish Parliament re-elects old PM – who promises to both increase migration and solve Sweden’s “challenges”

In the third PM vote, which took place on Friday, Vänsterpartiet (left-wing, communist party) decided to vote in favor of socialist party leader Stefan Löfven.

The two parties have admitted that they made an agreement in order to stop the right-wing anti-mass migration party Sweden Democrats from gaining power.

This means that Stefan Löfven will continue to govern the country for another four years.

Löfven was PM during the migrant crisis in 2015/2016. He was the one, who under the motto “My Europe builds no walls” decided to swing the door open and let an unmanageable amount of migrants into Sweden.

And as a result, Sweden has changed significantly for the worse.

Shootings, bombings, grenade attacks, robberies and rapes have increased massively, the police and health care system are almost out of control, many Swedes feel unsafe, the pensioners are getting poorer and poorer, and Islam keeps demanding one right after another in society.

In a TV interview on Saturday, Löfven promised to solve the “challenges” – as he calls the problems, that the country faces.

However, it has also been announced recently that migration to Sweden will be allowed to increase under his governance – since, among other things, family migration and reunion restrictions that were implemented in 2015 will now be lifted.

How he will manage to pull these two contradictory promises through at the same time is unknown.

One thing’s very clear though, no politician – or person, before him has ever managed to solve any problem without first stopping the cause of it.

Exactly how his party’s politics will affect Sweden, the Swedes and the rest of the world will find out in the coming months and years.
