Syria condemns US-led coalition repeated crimes against civilians, demands punishing perpetrators of such war crimes

Syria has condemned, in strongest terms, the continued attacks of the US-led “international coalition” on Syrian civilians and the great damage caused by such attacks to infrastructure, economic, service, oil and gas facilities and to public and private properties in Syria.

The condemnation came in the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry’s two letters sent Saturday to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the UN Security Council.

The letters were on the new crime committed by warplanes of the “international coalition” in al-Baghouz Foqani village, in Deir Ezzor south-eastern countryside.

The ministry said that the new crime is a continuation of the crimes that have become a systematic and daily behavior by the “coalition” against the Syrian people in a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic under exposed pretexts.

The letters stressed that activities of the coalition, which was illegally formed outside the jurisdiction of the U.N. Security Council, have strengthened the extremist terrorist groups, on top of which are Deash and Jabhat al-Nusra, and increased cooperation and coordination among them as this was confirmed and documented in dozens of previous letters addressed by Syria to the Security Council.

The ministry demanded the Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities in the maintenance of international peace and security and immediately work to stop the daily series of war crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated by countries of this rogue coalition against Syrian civilians and infrastructure in Syria.

It also demanded taking necessary measures to set an international mechanism to punish perpetrators and set a clear work plan to compensate the victims of these attacks.

The ministry concluded by saying that failure of the Security Council to adopt such measures will undermine its credibility and enhance the impression that it is a tool of the United States and its allies who pay no heed for its basic authority in maintaining international peace and security or even in what is related to combating terrorism, provisions of International law and international humanitarian law.

On Friday, twenty civilians, including women and children, have been killed in new airstrikes carried out by the US-led “international coalition” in al-Baghouz Foqani village and its surrounding in Soseh township,in Deir Ezzor south-eastern countryside.

The attack targeted dozens of families while trying to escape from the areas where Daesh terrorists are positioned as the death toll is likely to rise as most of the wounded sustained serious injuries.

Houston homeowner shoots burglars attempting to break in, kills three

Homeowner says he grabbed his gun in self-defense

A Houston homeowner single-handedly shot at least four suspected burglars and killed three of them when they tried to break into his home on Saturday, KHOU-TV reported.

What happened?

The suspects reportedly tried to force their way into the house at Sherman Street near 71st Street around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, reports state. The homeowner told detectives he grabbed his gun and shot the suspects in self-defense. He was not injured.

Police said one of the suspects was found dead in front of the house, one fled on foot and the others fled in a car, KPRC-TV reported. The car crashed into a pole near Harrisburg Boulevard and a man was found dead inside. Another man ran out of the car, fell in the street and later died. The man who tried to run away sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was found by police. He was taken to a nearby hospital to undergo surgery.

Police were still questioning the homeowner and were continuing to investigate Saturday afternoon, according to reports.

Evidence markers placed around the outside of the home suggested that dozens of rounds were fired, KHOU. reported.

On Saturday morning, a "group of tearful women," were seen down the block from where the shooting happened. They said they are relatives of the men who were shot but asked media for privacy, according to KHOU.

Any witnesses?

A neighbor reportedly said he was sitting his porch with his baby when two men showed up with large rifles. He said he believed they were there to rob his neighbor, so he ran into his home to take cover.

The neighbor said he did not know what they might be after. He also told KHOU he did not know the neighbor's full name, just that he goes by "Flaco."

Coincidence? - Chief Nurse Of British Army Was First Person To Arrive At Novichoked Skripal Scene

On March 4 2018 the British/Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found incapacitated on a bench in Salisbury. The British government asserts that they were affected by a chemical poison of the so called Novichok group. The case led to a diplomatic conflict as Britain accused Russia of an attempt to kill the Skripals. No evidence was provided by the British government to support those accusations. The Skripals have since been vanished.

Today an intriguing new detail of the case came to light. Spire FM, a local radio station in Salisbury, reports of a young woman, Abigail McCourt, who was given a 'Lifesaver Award' for her involvement in the Skripal case:

The 16 year old, from Larkhill, was the first to spot two people collapsed on a bench in the Maltings on March 4th and didn't hesitate to help. Abigail quickly alerted her mum, a qualified nurse, who was nearby and together they gave first aid to the victims until paramedics arrived.

It soon became clear this was no ordinary medical incident, but the poisoning of a former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, and his daughter Yulia, with Novichok.

Immediately following the incident and with the world's media focused on Salisbury, the pair didn't want any want press attention and kept their involvement quiet.

But Abby's mum now feels the time is right for her daughter to be recognised for the "incredible" way she dealt with the scenario. Alison nominated her for the Lifesaver Award at Spire FM's Local Hero Awards, and the judges were unanimous in their decision that Abigail was a very worthy winner.

Earlier reports mentioned that a 'military nurse' had attended to the Skripals. Following the above report Elena Evdokimova checked the name of the young women's mothers and found a curiosity:

Elena Evdokimova @elenaevdokimov7 - 10:50 utc - 19 Jan 2019

We were right, it was Alison McCourt who was that"unknown military nurse" who, absolutely randomly, happened to be near the bench where #Skripals collapsed . Spire FM alleges that it was her daughter Abigail alerted her, but no one mentioned her before …

Here is the thing. Alison McCourt is not just one random 'military nurse'. She is the Chief Nursing Officer for the British Army in the rank of Colonel:

Colonel A L McCourt OBE ARRC QHN - Assistant Head Health Strategy / Chief Nursing Officer (Army) - Senior Health Advisor (Army) Department.

Colonel McCourt was appointed Chief Nursing Officer on February 1 2018, just one month before the Skripal incident happened. Colonel McCourt lives in Larkhill, a garrison town some 11 miles from Salisbury. She is known to visit elsewhere.
