The Friends of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib’s Friends
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) had an unwanted spotlight shined on her over the weekend after Clarion Project and other media outlets reported that she had invited Abbas Hamideh, a Hezbollah supporter and anti-Semitic Palestinian activist, to a private dinner with family and friends.
Hamideh, who is the president of the Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, tweeted a photo of him and Tlaib.
I was honored to be at Congresswoman @RashidaTlaib swearing in ceremony in #Detroit and private dinner afterward with the entire family, friends and activists across the country. #Palestine #TweetYourThobe #RashidaTlaib pic.twitter.com/caJPN12ODX

Another lesser known photo of Hamideh and Tlaib was posted on his Facebook in April:
While it’s unclear how much influence Hamideh has in Tlaib’s life, Hamidah has a history of associations with terrorists and extremists. In the photo below, Hamideh can be seen at a rally with two controversial individuals:
The woman on the right is Rasmeah Odeh, who was convicted by Israel for her involvement in a terror bombing in Jerusalem in the 1970s in which two students were killed. Odeh was released by the Israeli government in a prisoner exchange in 1980 and emigrated to the U.S. She was deported in September of 2017 for immigration fraud for concealing her involvement in the bombing.
