If you go to the Red Cross expect to be gouged.
Considering they want blood from young people it's probably a little extra.
I doubt they're drawing their own blood considering the crazy markup on the blood. That may skip some of the FDA regulations in that you're only a transfusion center and not a processing center. Not too sure on that.
It's unclear though because they do claim to separate the plasma from the blood which does require storage, centrifuges, technicians and FDA inspections.
