Speculation in the last bread about the Covington MAGA boy hoax got me thinking… Anons suggested this was pushed to stir up opposition to Catholic potential RBG replacement Amy Coney Barrett.

But I noticed that the Bezos Post just recently posted an opinion piece involving Catholics and the Supreme Court:

https://www.1washingtonpost.com/outlook/could-the-popes-call-to-end-the-death-penalty-keep-catholics-off-juries/2019/01/18/81e96a0a-19cb-11e9-9ebf-c5fed1b7a081_story.html

On the surface it seems designed to appeal to anti-death penalty Catholics, and it makes the point that there are many Catholics on the Supreme Court. The author seems sincere. But I wonder if it wasn't published precisely to stir up dissension, and to induce right wing "helicopter ride"/"send em to Gitmo" sorts to object to more Catholic justices.
