The Vatican Surrenders to China

The Vatican may learn the hard way that the Communist Chinese government does not honor its agreements. Beijing may attempt to extort even more concessions from the Vatican, just as the Chinese regime demands ever more surrender of sovereignty from western companies that do business in China.

Pope Francis has surrendered partial control of the Chinese Catholic Church to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). His Holiness agreed to grant the Party considerable authority over personnel matters. After decades of refusing to give China the right to appoint Catholic bishops, as a condition for normalization of relations, the Vatican finally conceded to the regime's demand to allow the CCP a decisive role in the selection of bishops to head Catholic dioceses.

The Vatican's concession came despite the CCP's continued persecution of the unofficial, independent, underground Catholic Church in China. Yet the Vatican probably does not view this as a defeat but rather as a means to an end. The diplomatic hierarchy of the Catholic Church may be confident that the truth of its spiritual message will endure long after the CCP dissolves into the same historical trash bin as other totalitarian ideologies have done.

Finland: President expresses his ‘disgust’ at Muslim migrant grooming gangs as child sex scandal escalates

For well over a decade, close to a million British non-Muslim tweens and teens were victims of Muslim sex trafficking gangs. The UK government and law enforcement chose to ignore it all, so as not to be perceived as “Islamophobic” or “racist” (Islam is not a race). Apparently, this has been going on in Finland for some time, and as in the UK, the Finns did nothing. But elections loom.

If the listed mailing address is identical to the physical address, this indicates that the fusion center operates in a transparent manner and has publicly disseminated its actual physical location. Sealed Indictments Showing Themselves… Finally!

There has been much talk about the thousands of sealed indictments from the DOJ. I have not reported on them simply because I had no concrete information about what was inside them – only that there are a lot of them and the number keeps growing. I didn’t want to speculate. I was hoping, like everyone else, the indictments were for some of the significant “Deep State” players, but I couldn’t be sure. Today, I found on Justice.gov that one of the indictments has been unsealed. I thought I would go over the contents and what it means here.

Three of the four defendants named in the indictment have been arrested. BRAUER, who worked as an investment manager for Mossfon Asset Management, S.A., an asset management company closely affiliated with Mossack Fonseca, was arrested in Paris, France, on November 15, 2018. VON DER GOLTZ, a former U.S. resident and taxpayer, was arrested in London, United Kingdom, on December 3, 2018. GAFFEY, a U.S.-based accountant, was arrested in Medfield, Massachusetts, this morning. OWENS, a Panamanian attorney who worked for Mossack Fonseca, remains at large.

As the Gateway Pundit reported in our interview with students who were present and their parents, a 14-year-old student said that they were simply waiting for their school bus and doing chants when they were confronted.

‘GLOBAL WARMING’ UPDATE: Montreal’s Fête Des Neiges (Winter Snow Festival) Cancelled Due To Extreme Cold!

BEING careful not to confuse ‘weather’ with ‘climate’, even though our warmist friends have no problem finding a direct link between heatwaves and ‘climate change’, every summer, there’s no escaping the irony of cancelling a snow festival due to extreme cold in the era of extreme global warming climate change alarmism!

THE extreme irony highlighted by a support comment from Christine Muschi of the Montreal Gazette, before the cancellation – “It’s never too cold for Fete des Neige…”!

ORGANISERS disagree with Christine’s optimism and have cancelled the event on Sunday due to extreme cold and snow conditions :

“Although the majority of the Fête’s activities can be held despite difficult winter conditions, blowing snow, freezing cold, wind gusts and dangerous roads are all factors that have influenced our decision,” François Carier, director of marketing, business development and communications at Parc Jean-Drapeau, said in a statement.”
