Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for SIGNS, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
According to the bible, the sun, moon, stars were created to separate day from night, to give us a calendar, to create seasons, and to be used when God wants to give us a "sign" that special events are about to happen.
The last four blood moons were a big signal.
September, 2017 we got the long awaited sign of the woman (Virgo) clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet and the crown of 12 stars on her head. (12 stars in Leo instead of the usual 9)
This had not happened since around the birth of Christ.
