Looks like Facebook now has figured out how to get more documentation about people by "requiring [political ad] authors to produce government-issued ID and mailing addresses." None of those were ever required before by Facebook. That is the sort of stuff that should be covered by privacy laws - might have a significant impact outside the US (e.g., the EU has much stronger privacy laws).
