That water on the desk is something of a biblical representation of the earth. A dome. A firmament. As above, so below.
Also, since I was a kid it's dawned on me that magnetic north is a spot, and south isn't south, but rather not north.
I'm open to any suggestions, but I think there's a chance our science might not be settled.
Magnetism instead of gravity, for one.
Really not that tied to one answer or another. Won't affect my daily life at all.
So much of science is shit we're supposed to "have faith" in understanding, just like religion. And in so many ways, I might not completely understand how the lights work, but I'm rather fond of flipping a switch and being able to see. Same with indoor plumbing.
