This Anon is right on spot: Think double meanings. For instance Death in tarot means the death of an idea or even “ a great awakening” to another.
Death in scripture is opposite of Life. Death produces darkness. Example: Unkindness is death, the outward visible expression of unkindness towards others is darkness.
However, if we choose not to follow the thought of unkindness, but rather kindness, then: Kindness is Life, the outward visible expression of kindness towards others is Light.
By changing and expressing kindness towards others rather than being unkind I have just resurrected Life. In the process, I have destroyed that death. The death in me died. This is called the second death, when the death in us dies off. It’s also called the death and resurrection of Christ. (Our death and his resurrection in us.) They are synchronous events. No man can serve two masters simultaneously, no?
The Book of Revelation is not past tense or future tense. It’s present tense always to the reader. It’s happening now, between your ears, in your hand, and we know by the way you walk.
